McDonald's in Singapore fully embraced the Hash Brown McFlurry Sandwich hack and I still need to give this a try. Earlier this year a trend started at McDonald's in Australia (Maccas) to make a hash brown ice cream sandwich with a McFlurry. The idea is that you get the salty and sweet combo much like the popular Wendy's Frosty and fries combo. It's not a direct menu item, but you order two hash browns and your choice of ice cream - in this case an OREO McFlurrry. You then assemble the sandwich yourself and eat quickly before it melts. I posted about this when it first popped up and then McDonald's in Singapore actually promoted the trend and gave out 50 free Hash Brown McFlurry sandwiches at each restaurant to try - quite a smart marketing move if I do say so myself.
